Anika was born on February 25th, 2004. Like most, if not all first time parents we did not feel prepared for all the new changes and challenges our new baby would bring into our life. Pretty quickly we discovered that the typical challenges weren't all that were in store for us.
Our precious baby girl wasn't meeting her all her milestones. I discovered her "baby-book" wasn't going to cut it. She wasn't going to make the milestones in the time allotted.Looking back it seems laughable that I was even bothered her baby book but I shows how perspectives change. Around the same time I discovered other websites written by parents brave, kind and perhaps obsessive enough to share their stories.
So I started this website when she was around 6 months old. It was a way to make a baby-book that would accomdate Anika's unique timeline and perhaps it would be a venue to share some information that might help other parents the same way those other sites helped me.
Now a days I mostly post on her blog. But I might do a new update in her challenges section soon and there is a recent photo gallery in the photo section.
